ha ha thas funny, yea maybe you shouldn’t wear sweet lotion when you live in a place like that.. Whats the song called?
were you wearing vanilla??
i get swarmed if i wear vanilla, im not much of a fan of flies or other flying monsters, but i am a fan of vanilla.
BTW love the blog!
Were they actually bees?
And will you go see a bear?
I cannot get over that view…
Welcome To The Woods.
kkkk very funny!!!!! “monsters flying” kkkkkk
kissss!!!!!!!!
Terrible. Just terrible. I hate bees as well (although those particular buggies are much larger than the ones I encounter on a daily basis) and everyone thinks it’s ridiculous! I like to think that my fear is a healthy fear; one that will keep me alert for the day I potentially meet one of the big daddies.
what a beautiful view! is that the view from your house?! awesome!
*imagines you putting on more sweet-smelling lotion and walking around in the woods while trying to meet a ginormo killer bear*
I’m glad you were able to escape the buzzing killer bees. Stay safe!
Did you ever get to see that bear?
LOL! That’s hilarious! Loved the music at the beginning and everything… and wow, that is a BEAUTIFUL place to sit and play guitar and write songs…
can’t wait to hear that new song!
Hilarious! That first part was very Hitchcockian, the way it was shot. Well done!
Leave food out and you’ll see a bear, for sure. Well, did you ever get to at least one? Btw, the view is amazing!
Wow, what did I even write? I meant did you get to see at least one bear… and the VIEW is amazing. It must be the morning!
This video blog is so hilarious… specially when the killer bees is chasing after you….haha. Maybe it’s not just because of the sweet smelling lotion but they also sense the sweetness inside of you : D
Uhh they are so BIG!(Bees)…I’m scared!…so have a nice day!
Haha. That’s hilarious. Maybe you need some unscented lotion? But what good is that anyways.
BTW that view is gorgeous!
And don’t you miss the nice, summer weather?
Brooke!
I’m totally enjoying your blogs! Keep it up homie B. Whatever that means. haha.
Totally cannot wait for your new album. Like, I’m there when it comes out. Wherever “there” might be. Okay. Yeah. Um, I think I’ll just stop writing now.
these bees are huge!!!!
and the view is really beautiful =)
Curse that lotion!
I love how you’re talking really quiet too, like if they hear they might get angrier
lol
hahaha. couldn’t stop laughing at the ginormo’s. so did u attrack any bears? =]
wow…these bees are really nervous, and so much bigger than any other bee i ever seen in my life…well, they use to appear always i´m drinking coke or orange juice, were you smelling honey or vanilla? XD
Be careful ^^

Bee’s are not my friend!
wowsers. those are some big bees. haha. i would have done exactly what you had done..run. haha. i cant wait to hear your music
hahaha.. that’s such a distraction! what a way to ruin ur peace & quiet time…
Your comments in the video make me laugh! I love your kiwi accent! I CAN’T wait for your new album!!! AHHHHH!!! I heart you, Brooke.
haha, the song matched so much
greetings from Guatemala!
i’m not really a fan of bees.. much less killer bees.. good thing, we don’t have it here in the Philippines.. i really love your accent.. =)
Brooke, I love your blogs and they always make my day! Thank you so much for the beautiful music that you have made (and the music you are making – already waiting for your new album soo much!). Even though I leave on the other side of the world, in Finland, your beautiful lyrics and melodies are like a language that crosses all the language and state boundaries.
I just can’t thank you enough.
Yea, Kiwi accents are amazing! However, I’m being very biased as I am a kiwi which sort of means nothing really!
I must sat Brooke, you handled that really well. I don’t think I heard any incoherrent screams of any sort emerge from your mouth. Well Done! haha
You are something else!
ah! I am petrified of bees. I would have done what you have done but added in a little screaming. haha
what a nice place to work on songs!
So… I was a bit afraid when you tried defending yourself with the guitar… I kept picturing it smashing into a million pieces… That wouldve have scared me more than the bees.. nope.. im lying.. those bees were very ginormo and the smelliness of your sweet lotion was attracting them big time! Be careful… n use sum bug repellent! b blessed!
helen*
the empty rocking chair at mark 0:35 is epic.
lol , and the bees must have said” Gosh, that Brooke girl be smellin’ so good, We just gats ( got) to have a bite of that sweet smellin’ t’ing!”
thus professor Keiwa has come to the conclusion that yeah u were right , it must have been the lotion that attracted them.
next time cover urself in honey, they will definately resist you now! trust me ;P hehehe
Pretty good post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say
that I’ve really liked reading your posts. In any case
I’ll be subscribing to your blog and I hope you post again soon!
Haha! I love your blog :]. I highly dislike bees and ginormo flying things as well.
Stop playing the “B” chord… Ok I now that was lame but it had to be stated. Looking forward to the new album, you must come back to Saint Louis!
Wow! check out that view!
Hello, Brooke!
How are you?
I’m Brasilian and I love what you do! About the music and about the children in Africa!
I’m sorry about my English, I know English But I don’t know so much!
Loved your latest post, by the way.
Brooke! I didn’t know that you start posting blogs but I’m so glad that you are now. I just went back to read all of them and I’m really excited for the new album. I hope that the songwriting is going well just as soon as the bees go away, haha. You’re an amazing song writer. Your music has saved me through my toughest times. Thanks for it all. You are the bomb. =)

Cool post, just subscribed.
Incredible !!… kkkkk … I thought a song, about the attack … rsrsrs .. At the time of inspiration … they appear. rsrs
Hmm. Is it true?
hi… what does it mean “ginormo”???
hehe are thay really bees lol if their all black there not bees and they don’t bite their just anoying and fly around ya all the time if you see yellow on them now that’s a bee. i live in a reserve that we have flies fly around all the time so I’m use to it seeing flys around while i’m walking which its a annoying at times so don’t be afraid of the black ones lol
Brooke,
I’m from the south U.S. in Texas and those Ginormo monstrocities are totally horse flyes. I’m pretty sure. I’ve been bitten by them many, many times through my childhood years. They are aptly named because they are, as you saw, freaking huge insects. But the reason they are called horse flies is actually because they prey on horses actually. They suck their blood and I’ve known of them actually causing horses to become very ill. You were lucky there were only two. And yes, your lotion theory was a good one as well. So, horse flies. I’m almost positive. Cheers and happy creating!
Robin
Brooke, i think you might have to stay inside home for a few days to finish the songs …..its already hard to write a good song and also add the fact of the bees to that.
Stay inside until you have something to defend yourself in the outside.
By the way its a fun video.
Regards,
Oh man…I’m from North Carolina and am living with my English husband just outside of London now. I’m SO homesick…hope you enjoyed my lovely state!
